I need to rewatch it to find a couple specials..

While there are a couple rough spots, it's overall a very good little video and I'd love to see a continuation of this. the characters (based on real people or otherwise) are compelling despite my not knowing anything about them. The connectivity of them feels real despite such a connection only being briefly hinted at.

Even if it doesn't quite catch the grim, doomed flavor of Left 4 Dead, I still feel this is a suitable contribution as this is not L4D 3 or anything. This is your interpretation of your friends in the face of disaster. Even if the world is heinously fucked, you seem as a group to pull together as a sort of family- which is kind of the main theme tugged at with "The Sacrifice", the latest DLC for the L4D series.

The point I'm getting at is, don't worry about the "THIS ISN'T L4D" comments below me. They're just being stuffy and picky.

Given the charm this video has, I'm willing to give this a 10. Is it perfect? no. But nothing is, and this has heart and warmth for days- despite the whole zombie apocalypse thing. =)

10/10, 5/5.

Pretty good. =)

It got me to chuckle a few times- so that roughly equates to an 8... Let me explain.
With a funny video, if it gets one little laugh, it gets a 7. no laughs, a 5 or less depending on the quality. 8 if there's a couple little chuckles. 9 if I'm giggling through it all. 10 if it's an absolute riot.

It got a few good chuckles out of me, so this gets an 8. that also comes to a 4 out of 5. Good job. ^_^

So true

This is absolutely perfect. As a perpetual fan of this series for the past 13 years of my life, this video summed up a lot of my thoughts about both the anime and the games. Hilarious, brief, and absolutely saw it coming from a mile off- which in this case made the payoff soo much better.

absolutely fantastic. =)

O_O

I usually spend a paragraph or two discussing the various highlights and failings of a video or game. But this. This is too fucking absurd to do that with. It wasn't bad. Wasn't great either. Was a few minutes of absurdity and me mumbling "what. the fuck."

Then it was over and I was entirely unsure how to rate this. So I think I'll go with a 7/10. That corresponds with.. let's see... a low 4 out of 5? Close enough. You get the point.

Huh!

Didn't think this would be any good, but goddamn this was fantastic. Completely spot-on. It seemed a little trivial at first, but Metapod's self-destruct sealed the deal and earned you a 10. Fantastic.

so yeah- 10/10, 5/5.

Needs A New Consideration

When I reviewed Tetris'd 3, I was doing so through the concept that it was all based on Tetris and had to, in some way, connect. The first two had, and at the time I thought the third ought to as well. But what I truly failed to anticipate is that the series has, upon reaching a third piece of the puzzle, begun to stand on its own two feet. Its only true link to Tetris at this point is the name and I suppose the references.

The point I'm trying to make is that I can no longer look at these as action-based plays at Tetris. They've evolved past that to become a genuine story that aims to be truly compelling, and I can completely respect that. In fact, at this point I almost expect more to be made. If none more appear, I will in a way be kind of let down. To hell with the fact this is the last. This thing has come to be more than it ever really tried to be! This series could continue exploring the concept of alien races, perhaps touching on other classic underestimated games as it goes. But hell, it doesn't even need that. It just needs the name and the relatively subtle style.

Getting to the heart of the matter, it needs to be looked at on its own. While this particular installment is not the most exciting part of the series, it's still an interesting and somewhat necessary piece. It finally fills in the blanks on how the hell this whole ordeal got started and somewhat brings us to a point of understanding that the game can finally be forgotten from the story entirely. the series becomes self-contained, which makes this episode all that more important. It moves smoothly and brings the situation full-circle.

With these facts and thoughts in mind, I give it a 9/10 and a 5/5. Congratulations on this achievement, and here's to many more in the future!

Very funny

The animation was pretty smooth and clear, the jokes were quick, funny, and to the point, and the whole thing had more of a point than I'd anticipated.

Very good job. 9/10, 5/5.

Great job

Initially I saw this video in the listings and wanted to flunk it just for the fact it would use that concept and name- both of which (more or less) have been used. But this was a tribute to the very game I was going to mention. And I really appreciate that. It's one of those games that many know nothing of, which is a shame given how good a game it is. 10/10, 5/5.

Charming

It tries a little. Good clip choices, but the song choice is a bit odd. Considering it was done in 2003, it could have been far worse, but considering what was already being done at the time it could have been a whole hell of a lot better, too. 4/10, 2/5.

Not too shabby

As you said yourself, it's not got even the slightest taste of comedy. It also doesn't have the same spirit as the series did. It could be worse, but it still falls short for me, regardless.

Regardless of what I say, you got those few people that liked it. It's been here for 4 and a half years. So... congrats, I suppose.

Writing is my life- poetry, novels... I like blurring genres, bringing together action, comedy, sci-fi, fantasy, mystery, and even romance. Don't like it? Hmm...... Pity.
